This Friday, we will be discussing an important sutta – the Anapanasati Sutta (MN 118). This sutta is the Buddha’s discourse on the proper practice of breathing meditation, a form of samatha or concentration meditation.

This Friday, our sutta discussion will be on Magandiya Sutta, in MN 75. In this sutta, the Buddha talked about the superior nature of spiritual happiness when compared to sensual happiness, and used the simile of a leper to show the difference.

This Friday, after the two previous Science of Happiness talks, we will resume our sutta discussion with Dighajanu Sutta. This sutta is one of the few suttas pertaining to the practice of lay people, the other one being the more popular Sigalovada Sutta.
